No building consent required sounds simple... but no building consent does not mean no Building Code.
Under New Zealand's granny flat exemption, eligible standalone dwellings up to 70m2, can be built without building consent - but they must still meet the
One major difference? Under the exemption, council does not carry out building inspections or issue a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC).
After researching the exemption and considering what it could mean for our clients now and in the future,
Our homes will continue through the building consent process, which means;
๐Ÿก Council inspections will take place throughout the build
๐Ÿก You will receive a Code Compliance Certificate following successful completion and sign off
๐Ÿก You will have clear compliance documentation for your property
๐Ÿก You will have greater clarity when dealing with lenders, insurers, valuers and future purchasers
For us, it's about more than getting your home built. It's about making sure you have confidence in it for years to come.

Weโ€™re pretty lucky to have such a great bunch of lads on our team. They work bloody hard, take pride in what they do, put up with all of our requests, and somehow still have plenty of energy left for the banter.
Thereโ€™s never a dull day with this lot around, and behind all the jokes and carry-on is a seriously talented crew who do an awesome job bringing our homes and buildings to life.
We might give them a hard time (and they definitely give it straight back ๐Ÿคฃ), but we genuinely appreciate every single one of them and everything they do.
Weโ€™re missing our Lead Foreman and our Electrician from the group photos today, but donโ€™t worry boys โ€” youโ€™re still part of the love fest.

Everyone seems to be jumping on this trend at the moment... so naturally, we thought we'd better give it a go too!
Yes, this is AI. No, the hairstyles are (sadly) not real. ๐Ÿคฃ But the people behind them definitely are! So, while we have your attention, we thought we would properly introduce some of the faces behind the Russley Portables team.
Even though we couldn't wrangle the entire crew for this one, we couldn't do what we do without every single one of them.
