Another progress update from our Tai Tapu project. With the concrete work complete, tiling is now underway on this impressive indoor pool and spa.

The new pool is taking shape, complete with integrated seating, a separate spa and a dedicated cover chamber. We've also installed the heating system that will service both the pool and spa.

There's plenty of detail going into this one, and it's great to see everything starting to come together.

Looking forward to sharing the finished result.

Back at our Fendalton project, and we’re just about ready for concrete.

Once we started stripping back the existing pool and excavating around the structure, it became clear the original pool needed more work than first expected. Rather than compromise on the end result, we’ve rebuilt the pool walls within the existing structure to create something that will last.

As part of the redesign, we’ve also introduced a new shallow ledge for the kids and prepared the area for a brand new spa, which is going to be a huge upgrade to the space.

Plenty happening behind the scenes at this stage, but it’s all starting to take shape.

Next update, we should have the concrete poured, the spa formed and the raised areas around it well underway.

Looking forward to seeing this one come together.

A new project underway in Fendalton, and there’s a lot happening with this one.

We’re taking an existing concrete swimming pool and giving the entire area a significant transformation, working alongside a fantastic new architectural design for the outdoor space.

The existing fibreglass lining and surrounding paving will be stripped back, before we introduce a full tanking membrane, custom mosaic tiling, an automatic pool cover and upgraded lighting, heating and filtration.

We’ll also be building a completely new custom concrete spa alongside the pool, with its own automatic cover.

With narrow access and plenty of existing structures and landscaping to protect, there’s a bit to work through before the transformation really starts taking shape.

Plenty more to come from this one as we work towards having it ready for summer.

A big update from our Cannon Hill pool and spa project.

The full tiling is now complete, with the tanking membrane in place and large 600x600 Stone Valley tiles installed across the pool, spa and surrounding areas.

It is still a construction site, but we are well into the finishing stages now. The final plant equipment is being fitted, the glass is nearly ready to go in, the deck will be washed and refreshed, and we are getting very close to filling both pools and bringing the systems to life.

This is always one of the most exciting stages of a project, when the vision really starts to come together.

We will be back soon with the pool and spa full, finished and functioning.

Big prep week on our Tai Tapu pool project.

Steel reinforcing is in, the pool and spa structures are taking shape, and the insulation layer is now in place. We insulate all of our swimming pools here in Christchurch and across the South Island, helping create a more efficient pool from the ground up.

On Monday, the shotcrete goes in.

Shotcrete is a specialised concrete mix that gets pumped through a line, then applied under pressure to form the pool and spa structure. It’s a big day on site, and it’s a process our team takes a lot of pride in. There’s a real craft to it, and we’ll have the full team here to bring it all together.

A lot of work goes into getting to this stage, so we’re excited to see this Tai Tapu project take shape.

What started as a spa renovation quickly evolved into a full swimming pool transformation in Mount Pleasant.

Rather than starting again, the original concrete block structure has been retained and completely reworked. The old fibreglass finish has been removed, allowing the pool to be upgraded with new platforms and steps, automatic cover integration, and a fully tiled interior finish.

The result will be a far more refined, modern pool designed for year-round use and built to better suit the home and family using it.

Projects like this show what’s possible when you rethink an existing pool properly.
