Construction is now underway at The Annex for The Court Theatre.

Our Christchurch team has officially started onsite works for The Annex, a new facility in the heart of Christchurch CBD that will provide The Court Theatre with dedicated space to create, store, and manage sets and equipment that bring productions to life.

We're proud to be working alongside The Court Theatre and Focus Project Services to deliver this important project, with completion expected in late 2026.

We look forward to sharing progress as construction continues.

For 8 years, Miles has proudly partnered with Keystone Trust to support young people building careers in construction.

This year's Miles Construction Scholarship recipient is Yohan, now studying a Bachelor of Construction at AUT. Alongside a $5,500 scholarship, recipients receive invaluable work experience with Miles, an industry mentor, site visits, pastoral support, and access to a national cohort of students entering the property and construction sectors.

The support is its own reward, but it has also brought us good people: we have permanently employed a number of Keystone graduates over the years, with three alumni currently in the Auckland office.

A 20 unit Kāinga Ora development in Trentham, Upper Hutt has reached its stage one handover, marking the first homes ready for whānau to move into.

The build worked through a few technical challenges along the way, including old undocumented soak pits that complicated the drainage works and required resequencing on the ground.

A nationwide effort, with design led out of Auckland and project management across Christchurch and Wellington.

The ceremony brought together Miles, Kāinga Ora and iwi to honour the moment before families call these houses, home.
