What a night! ✨

We were proud to attend Glammed Up For A Hand Up over the weekend, getting dressed up and coming together to raise funds for the incredible work of Food Rescue

As a supporter of Kairos Food Rescue, it was great to be part of an evening helping raise awareness and funds for the work they do across our community, rescuing good food and getting it to people who need it.

A big congratulations to everyone involved in putting together such a fantastic fundraiser, and to everyone who showed up, dressed up and helped support the cause.

It’s always great to see our Canterbury community come together to make a difference. 🧡

Some things are worth sharing.

We’re proud to support Kairos Food Rescue and the important work they’re doing across Canterbury.

Working with more than 70 suppliers, they rescue surplus and short-dated food and redistribute it through more than 60 recipient groups, including foodbanks and community organisations across Christchurch and Selwyn.

But their impact goes beyond food rescue.

Food becomes a way to connect people with support, strengthen community connections, and help address some of the wider challenges that can lead to food insecurity. Through enabling the work of community organisations by supplying food, opportunities for meaningful conversations are created, support networks developed, and positive outcomes are achieved for people who need them.

It’s a simple idea with a meaningful impact: rescuing good food, reducing waste, supporting people, and building stronger communities.

We’re grateful to support this work, but more importantly, we wanted to help more people become aware of the support available within our community.
