Accessibility done right should feel like it belongs in the space. For some clients, that might mean a seat in the shower. For others, it could be well placed grab rails, extra room to move, or thoughtful details around the toilet and vanity.

The key is making those features feel seamless, not clinical.

This stunning bathroom we recently completed in Rangiora is a great example. It has those small touches that make the space easier and more enjoyable to use now, while also helping future-proof the bathroom for the years ahead.

One of our favourite ways to add personality to a bathroom is with a featured vanity splashback. You don't need to fill the whole room with colour. Just a simple strip of beautifully glazed tiles above the vanity can completely lift the space.

We're especially loving the way these rich blue tiles catch the light, with the glaze creating soft, almost milky variations across the surface.
