Basketball season is nearly here! 🏀

Mainland Pouakai are getting ready to tip off their 2026 season on 26 September, and we’re proud to get behind the team again this year.

If you haven’t experienced a Pouākai game before, this is a great season to change that. There’s nothing quite like getting courtside, bringing the family along and getting behind some of Canterbury’s best basketball talent.

The Pouākai are doing great work growing the women’s game, creating opportunities for players and giving young basketball fans some brilliant role models to look up to.

Season memberships are available now, with options for the whole whānau.

Let’s fill the stands and get behind the Pouākai this season! 🙌

Fantastic progress taking shape at our Emmett & Orcades Street project in Christchurch, with all 12 homes continuing to move forward well.

A special shoutout to one of our key Christchurch Build Partners, One Square Rate Landscaping & Hydroseeding who have now started landscaping works across the project. It’s great to see this next stage getting underway.

Fantastic work as always, team. We’re proud to have great Build Partners alongside us helping deliver projects like this.

Next Wednesday, 26th of August, we’re opening up our Arbor Green project in Rolleston while there’s still plenty to see.

The ten homes at Liana Lane are now fully enclosed and weathertight, with the first round of airtightness testing complete and parts of the Formance SIP structure still exposed. It’s the ideal point in the build to see how the different systems come together before the cladding and finishes cover them up.

Our Design & Innovation Lead, Josh Milne, will be joined by the Home Construction team, Formance and other project partners to walk through the thinking and data behind the development, including:

• SIP walls and roofing
• uPVC joinery
• Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery
• PHPP energy modelling
• Mid-build blower door testing
• An airtightness target five times tighter than the Building Code requirement

It’s a chance to see what high-performance housing looks like before it becomes invisible, and to understand how those decisions translate into homes that are warmer, drier and more efficient to run.

📍 Arbor Green, 1–10 Liana Lane, Rolleston
📅 Wednesday 26 August
⏰ 11:00am–12:30pm

There’ll be a short presentation, guided tours through several of the homes and lunch on us.

If you work in the industry, or simply want to understand what goes into building homes to a genuinely higher standard, we’d love to have you along.

We’ve now reached another significant milestone at Liana Lane, Arbor Green, with all Formance SIP panels installed across the ten homes.

The SIP system forms a big part of the performance of these homes, helping create a highly insulated and airtight building envelope.

A great effort from our team on site and everyone involved in the project to get to this stage.

Plenty more to come as Liana Lane continues to take shape.

How do you build homes that perform better without making them unaffordable? That question sits at the centre of the 10 home project at Liana Lane, Rolleston.

Josh Milne explains why integrated design, testing and smart investment matter more than simply adding expensive products.

The full project video takes you behind the scenes of how these high-performance homes are being delivered.

Plenty happening at Hollinbrigg Place in Manurewa, but the smiles on site say plenty about how the project is tracking.

Across this 23-home development, multiple stages are moving at once, requiring strong coordination, clear communication and the experience to keep progress flowing smoothly.

Our Site Delivery Lead, Stephen Magnus, is doing an excellent job leading the team on site and managing the day-to-day delivery. It was great to capture the hard work, good spirits and genuine pride across the project.

A strong example of the expertise and teamwork behind high-volume residential delivery.

On Thursday 6 August, we're opening Arbor Green for a mid-build site tour, while the performance systems are still on show.

The homes at Liana Lane, Rolleston are enclosed and weathertight, but the structural insulated panels are still exposed in places. The first round of airtightness testing is done. For a short window, the decisions that make these homes warm, quiet, and more affordable to run are visible before the cladding covers them for good.

Come on site with our team and some of our key suppliers, Formance Our Basis and Ambiance by STÄRKE for a look inside. You'll see the systems that do the work, the PHPP modelling and mid-build blower door results that prove performance up to 50% better than code, and the townhouses themselves. There's a short address on what makes them perform, guided tours, and lunch on us.

If you work in high-performance building, or you just want to see what's possible when design and build sit under one roof, we'd love to have you there.

Lots of action on site this week at our 13-home development in Te Atatū, Auckland.

It has been a busy couple of weeks, but it has been great to see the team coordinated, the programme flowing, and progress continuing across site.

This development will deliver 13 new Homestar 6 homes for the Auckland community, made up of:

3 x 3-bedroom homes
6 x 1-bedroom homes
4 x 2-bedroom homes

Our focus is on delivering the build with excellence, working alongside our local build partners to create warm, dry, safe and secure homes for the people who will one day call them home.

The wider project is being delivered by Kāinga Maha, with Home Capital Partners and The Salvation Army New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa Territory supporting the pathway to affordable rental housing through the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development’s Income-Related Rent Subsidy.

Proud of the team and the way this project is coming together.

Our Design and Innovation Lead, Josh, caught up on site with William from Formance to talk through the progress at our Arbor Green development in Rolleston, where 10 high-performing homes are beginning to take shape.

For us, this project is about continuing to find better ways to build homes that are warmer, drier, more energy efficient, and still practical from an affordability point of view.

A key part of this build is the use of Formance structural insulated panels, manufactured here in Christchurch and supplied nationwide. These panels form an important part of the building envelope, helping increase the performance of the homes while also supporting speed and consistency on site.

There is a lot going into this project, from Formance SIP panels through to uPVC windows, cassette flooring, an innovative slab system, and other high-performance products.

Over the coming weeks, the site will transform as the panels, floors, upper frames, and roof system come together.

We are also looking forward to testing the performance of these homes as the project progresses, because better building should be more than a claim. It should be modelled, tested, and proven.

A great project to be part of, and one we are excited to keep sharing as it takes shape.
