A significant enhancement to the bathroom involves strategically expanding the walls into adjacent bedrooms, thereby creating additional space to accommodate a standard-sized shower and vanity.

What have we been working on lately? 2 bathrooms and laundry that are coming close to completion and will have before and afters soon. Alongside this we have been doing little maintenance jobs, as well as fixing up our own leaking garage roof and installing custom barges and gutters which is both compliant as well as giving respect of the look of heritage on our almost 150 year old home. In the gaps as Tai Tapu Community Association Chairman I've been encouraging kids by helping kick-start a couple of bike jumps and advocating for tidying of the rear of Tai Tapu Church and Library along the river.

Amazing to have been a small part of the Tai Tapu Community Association Quiz Night which raised $9000 for our local Category 1 listed historic Library, which was built in 1932.

QUIZ NIGHT UPDATE:

I would like to thank everyone for their support - we have raised over $8,000.00 for the Tai Tapu Library, this goes a long way towards the estimated annual costs of $11,000 with the biggest cost being insurance at $6,000.

Recently worked with a return customer to design the best look of wood burner, initially looking at inbuilts, but their specifications didn't allow the vision we had. So freestanding with a recess, and due to the tall stud height, we could picture frame the recess across the ceiling.

Proud to have been able to sponsor a worthy event which was setup to fundraise for our local library, which is an Incorporated Society run by volunteers. It is a Category 1 Heritage listed building but as it isn't actually owned by Selwyn District Council they have proposed cutting financial support. We took along a select few of our clients as well for a very enjoyable evening.
I'm also the Chairperson for the Tai Tapu Community Association, so if you have suggestions for other events then have a chat and we will see what we can do.

Clients "summer project" that had run to winter before they decided to call Bentham Builders. I arrived to 5 poles and the scope of building a wood shed with mesh walls, we spoke about cladding to the south to avoid rain wetting of firewood

After delays with ammendments of details through council, luckily we have had a prolonged period of settled weather, TPO is now down and the concrete tiles are no longer with 5 rib in its place, completely transforming this home. Exterior cladding of porch is the next task for this job
