Have you ever seen hundreds of rubber ducks racing down the Avon? 🦆

We have, and this time we’re joining them.

This year WAL Construction is taking part in the Great Canterbury Duck Race, Life Education Trust - Canterburys annual fundraiser, with proceeds helping deliver the Healthy Harold programme to tamariki across Canterbury, supporting education around health, wellbeing, relationships and making positive choices.

If you grew up in NZ, you probably remember the excitement when Harold’s bus rolled into school, and he’s still out there doing his thing for the next generation.

We’ll be putting our own WAL spin on this guy before he hits the water in the Business Duck Race 👀

To our fellow business owners - grab yourself a corporate duck and get amongst it! There’s also a Community Race, with ducks just $10 a pop and all proceeds supporting Life Education Canterbury.

It’s all happening Sunday 1 November at the Bridge of Remembrance.

Come down, back a duck, and support a great local cause 🦆

Something new is taking shape in Papanui 👀

We’re excited to share a first look at our latest development - six contemporary townhouses designed with modern living in mind.

Four three-bedroom and two two-bedroom homes, each with two bathrooms including an ensuite, a separate downstairs WC, a garage and additional off-street parking.

Positioned close to Northlands, Northlink and public transport, with the C*D and airport also just minutes away, this is a development designed around the way people actually live.

Here’s a first look at what’s coming. Watch this space.
