A little throwback to my time at Elite Pest Control. Still one of my favourite series of ads to be part of.

It's a reminds of how much I enjoy educating people about pests and that passion has carried through into EcologistNZ today.

I'm still just as serious about pest risk and management as I was then :)

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it . . .

A quick summary of my week

Rodents love to climb and can jump a metre plus

Cutting foliage so they can’t access the roof area is essential to managing the risk of pests getting inside

Not gonna lie... I'm pretty stoked. 😄

I'm still wrapping my head around it but EcologistNZ® is now a registered trademark.

I don't really know what that actually means, but seeing that little ® beside EcologistNZ® is pretty cool.

A year ago this business wasn't even idea.

Istill had my heart set on finishing my degree and taking Elite Pest Control Limited into a whole new pest management world.

Now it's something I'm building, protecting, and backing myself on.

Thank you to everyone supporting me :)

New Zealand looks the best at night.

Here's a short vid of my favourite tool, a thermal monocular.

It picks up heat signatures, making it easier to detect wildlife that would otherwise disappear silently into the darkness.

Possum, hedgehog, rodent even birds stand out.

Thermal technology helps me understand what's out there and how many before deciding how to manage it.

I love how the little rat looks left, right then left again at the end :)

Tonight's office: Hagley Park.

Some memories are too good to leave sitting in an archive.

A couple of years ago my son and I did this video about ants and spiders.

He brought so much creativity, humour and personality to it and he absolutely nailed it.

Watching it again reminds me just how much fun we had making it together.

The video is still hosted on Elite Pest Control Ltd's YouTube channel. (The CTV interviews were taken down this morning after I posted one to my page - what a child)

Ira and I created it and granted Elite permission to use it, so I'm proud to be able to share it here as part of my professional portfolio.

It nearly has 7000 views which is super col

I hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed making it. ❤️

Drop the sound on, have a watch, and let me know what you think!
