Daylight Saving is here!

A little reminder that the clocks go forward one hour this Sunday — which means one less hour of sleep, but plenty more daylight at the end of the day!

While you’re changing the clocks, it’s also a good time to give your smoke alarms a quick test and make sure they’re doing their job.

Spring forward, check your smoke alarms, and enjoy the longer evenings!

Celebrating Marlborough’s young scientists and innovators!

We were proud to once again support the Marlborough Lines Science and Technology Celebration, which saw almost 800 students from 14 schools take part at school level this year.

From there, 341 students and 194 exhibits made it through to the Regional Fair, with some seriously impressive projects on display!

A big congratulations to Oscar Mason from Marlborough Boys’ College, who took out the Best in Fair Award with his project Ocean Imbalance — an awesome achievement after also being a joint Best in Fair recipient last year.

It’s great to support an event that encourages our local young people to get curious, experiment, problem-solve and develop an interest in science and technology.

Well done to all the students who took part, and to the organisers, teachers and volunteers who make this event possible each year

We’re proud to have supported Cycling Marlborough for this year’s Southern Tour, with around 100 young riders from across New Zealand taking on a great weekend of racing around Seddon and the Awatere Valley.

A special congratulations to Honor McKenzie, winner of the Girls U14 Sprint Ace jersey, proudly sponsored by Callahan & Martella Electrical!

It’s always great to support local events like this and see so many talented young riders out there giving it their all.

Well done to all the riders, organisers and volunteers who made the weekend such a success

Look at that smiling face on the far right, the thought of Godzone certainly doesn't put a smile on my face. After an interesting Godzone in the Marlborough area earlier this year the Allan Scott Family W**emakers Godzone team are going to be tackling Chapter 13 - Aoraki/Mt Cook end of February 2027. They have had a great start with winning the Super Early Swag Bay for submitting their Adventure Race team as one of the very first. Let the training begin

The Allan Scott Family W**emakers Godzone team has had their first Godzone 2027 win! Josh, Paul, Sara and Marty won the SUPER EARLY SWAG BAG for submitting their Adventure Race team as one of the very first. An easy win, but a win is still a win!

Thank you very much to Macpac for the tops that will keep us warm, LEKI for the trekking poles that will keep us stable, Fenix Light NZ for the lights that will guide us, and La Sportiva New Zealand 🇳🇿 for hopefully making Josh walk faster. We cannot wait to start training with your gear and get to Chapter 13: Aoraki / Mt Cook at the end of February.

And lastly, thank you very much to One NZ GODZONE for organising this amazing race. See you in February 2027!

Today we're proud to support Daffodil Day and the incredible work of the Cancer Society.

Cancer has touched the lives of so many Kiwi families, friends and communities, and Daffodil Day is a great reminder to get behind those going through some of their toughest times.

Our very own Kylie will be outside Noel Leeming from 11am-2pm collecting donations, so if you're passing by, make sure you stop in, say hello and show your support!

Whether you're donating, wearing a daffodil or simply helping spread the word, every bit of support counts.

From all of us at Callahan & Martella Electrical, we're proud to get behind this important cause.

Give hope. Support Daffodil Day.

We were proud to jump on board as a sponsor of this year’s Tussock Run!

Let’s Talk About Cancer

The team at Callahan and Martella are getting behind this great local event supporting an incredibly important cause.

Chris Thornley will be sharing his deeply personal journey with prostate cancer, helping to raise awareness, start conversations and raise funds for a cause that touches far too many of us.

Tuesday, 8 September
6pm
W**e + Food Experience, 42 Alfred Street

If you’re free, head along, show your support and help get people talking about something that can sometimes be difficult to talk about.

A huge amount of respect to Chris for being willing to share his story and use his experience to help others. 💛
