🏡 Villa Spotlight – Floor Plan 18

This week’s featured home is Villa Floor Plan 18 — a spacious 225m² family home with plenty of character, generous living spaces and wonderful indoor-outdoor flow.

With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this is a home designed with everyday family living in mind, with a great balance between open-plan spaces and somewhere quieter to retreat.

At the heart of the home is the fabulous kitchen, opening directly into the dining and living area. There’s plenty of bench and storage space, along with a walk-in pantry tucked neatly behind a sliding door.

For those who love having a second living space, the large separate lounge is a real feature. Its beautiful bay window brings extra character to the room and creates a lovely light-filled space for a more formal lounge or simply somewhere peaceful to sit.

🌿 Friday Inspiration – More Living in 110m²

This week’s Friday Inspiration features another 110m² home from our Classic Series — a great example of just how much comfortable living can be achieved within a thoughtfully designed floor plan.

With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this home has everything you’d expect for everyday living, but there’s one extra feature we particularly love — a separate lounge.

The main kitchen, dining and family area is light and open, with a generous timber-topped island providing plenty of space for casual seating. French doors connect the living area with the outdoors, while the separate lounge offers a cosy second space to retreat to — perfect for watching television, reading, or simply having somewhere quiet away from the main living area.

🌿 Friday Inspiration – Classic Country Living

This week’s Friday Inspiration takes us to Ravenswood in Christchurch, with a lovely DW11 from our Classic Series transportable range.

With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this home offers plenty of space for everyday living, while still retaining the warmth and character our Classic Series is known for.

One of the real highlights is the generous open-plan kitchen and living area. The large kitchen provides plenty of storage and bench space, with a substantial island creating a natural hub for cooking, casual meals and conversation. French doors bring in plenty of natural light and connect the living space with the outdoors.

The three bedrooms also offer plenty of flexibility. For our inspiration photos, we've given the master bedroom a warm, slightly more luxurious feel, created a soft and welcoming guest room, and taken the third bedroom in a more relaxed direction with its beautiful blue-grey tones.

Throughout the home, traditional detailing, panelled walls, warm timber flooring and a soft neutral palette create a timeless country feel.

🌿 Friday Inspiration – Small Cottage, Surprisingly Spacious

This week we're heading south to Warrington, just out of Dunedin, with one of our smaller Settlers Series transportable homes — the DW50 Cottage, at just 66m².

We've built this little cottage a few times over the years, and it's easy to see why. With 1 bedroom and two separate living spaces, it packs an incredible amount into a relatively small footprint without feeling cramped.

The second living room is one of the things we love about this plan. It gives so much flexibility — use it as another lounge, a home office, a craft or hobby room, occasional guest space, or even adapt it to become a second bedroom depending on how you want to live.

In this home, a sliding barn door connects the two living areas, while the beautiful Resene Infused panelling in the second room adds a gorgeous splash of colour against the crisp white interior. Natural timber, rattan and warm brass details throughout give the cottage plenty of character.

🚛 What a journey for this home!

Late Sunday evening, the first two parts of our H-shaped home began their journey south to Oxford.

Sunday night's leg took them just past Murchison, before the remainder of the journey was completed on Monday evening.

There's something pretty impressive about seeing twosections of a home travelling down the South Island roads, and we can't wait to see them come together on site.

But first, a massive thank you to Mudgy and the team Smith Crane & Construction Ltd for another move so professionally carried out. Moving homes is no small undertaking, and we're always grateful for the care and expertise that goes into getting them safely to their destination.

There's plenty of site work ahead for our team now, while back at the yard the third piece of the puzzle is still a few weeks away from making its own journey south.
