Marlborough Pools & Spas is looking for a Pool Builder / Leading Hand to join our busy team!

We build bespoke fibreglass swimming pools and install prefabricated fibreglass pool shells throughout Marlborough and the Top of the South.

We’re looking for someone who is:
✔️ Experienced in building or the trades
✔️ Friendly, reliable & trustworthy
✔️ Physically fit and strong
✔️ A good problem solver and communicator
✔️ Able to work both independently and as part of a team
✔️ Keen to learn new skills and systems
✔️ Holds a clean, current, full NZ manual driver's licence

Relevant training will be provided, so if you’re practical, motivated and ready for something different, we’d love to hear from you!

🍂 Sick of closing your pool cover, only to find your pool full of leaves the next time you open it?

If you have an underground cover pit, it might be time to give it a clean-out and start fresh!

The more leaves and debris that build up in your cover pit, the more likely they are to get caught on the underside of your pool cover. Then, when you close the cover, all that debris can end up dropping straight into your pool. 😩🍂

A good clean-out of your cover pit can help keep your cover cleaner and your pool looking its best.

If your cover pit is looking more like a compost bin than a cover pit… it’s probably time for a clean! 😂

Keeping your pool covered helps protect it from leaves and debris, reduces water evaporation, and helps hold onto that valuable heat — ready for when swimming weather arrives. 🌊

And apparently… it makes a pretty good sunbathing spot too! 😂🐾

Running your pool pump for the correct amount of time can actually save you money while keeping your water crystal clear.

2-3hrs a day is usually enough, provided:

* The water is clear.
* The pool isn't being used.
* Leaves and debris are removed regularly.
* The water chemistry is balanced.
