Ready for exposed aggregate finish

Volcanic ground gives you two things. Rich soil that drains well, and rock that sits through it like a slab.

Had to pull out the heavy gear.

Mount Albert, Auckland.

Lots of action on our Remuera site.

Pool builders doing a great job 👏

Not considering leaf drop.
Leaves that fall near the pool end up in the pool.

Aggressive roots near structures. Think Ficus Tuffi or Liquidambar. They crack coping, lift paving and get into pipework.

Ignoring mature size. New planting can look bare today, but cram it in for an instant look and you are digging half out in a few seasons. For instant effect consider larger grades.

Help the community out and comment what you wish you knew before planting your pool area 🙏

From formwork to finished pour at our Remuera project.

In-situ concrete steps up to the front door, exposed pebble to match the existing landing.

That hole beside them is pre-dug for a jacaranda.

We crane it in come spring, make sure to follow to see the clips of that! 🏗️🌱
