27 years… and finally retired.
This Hitron CCTV monitor was manufactured in June 1998 and has been in service ever since.
Think about that.
It’s been running through the shift from analog to IP, from coax to network, from basic recording to smart analytics.
No cloud.
No PoE.
No remote viewing.
Just solid, old-school CCTV.
Today it finally got replaced a small piece of security history officially retired.
Technology has come a long way, but there’s something impressive about hardware that lasts nearly three decades.
End of an era.
