We are incredibly proud to celebrate 45 Mount Eden Road being named a Winner in the Housing – Multi-Unit category at the 2026 New Zealand Institute of Architecture Auckland Architecture Awards.

Over the past few years, our team has had the privilege of working alongside Graeme Scott - founder of ASC and client for this project - to bring his vision for 45 Mount Eden Road to life. Designed to provide high-quality, medium-density urban housing, the development comprises 14 dual-aspect apartments above a vibrant street-level restaurant, creating a connected and sustainable place to live.

It has been especially rewarding to watch the project evolve from concept to completion, and even more meaningful to see Graeme and his wife, Missy, now enjoying life in the home they helped shape.

Last week, our team had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Property Council New Zealand Awards, where we were proud to see three ASC Architects projects recognised:

• Te Kura Rau Iti School – Excellence Award in the Education category
• Oceania Meadowbank – Merit Award in the Civic, Health & Arts category
• Woolworths Taupō Central – Merit Award in the Sustainable Building category

These awards reflect the dedication, collaboration, and expertise of our team, clients, consultants, and project partners. We're honoured to have contributed to projects that create meaningful outcomes for communities, support wellbeing, and advance sustainable design.

While it's rewarding to see these projects recognised, what matters most is the people who use them every day. From students and teachers to residents, staff, shoppers and visitors, these spaces are designed to be experienced, enjoyed and valued by the communities they serve—and that's always the ultimate goal.

Our recently completed 45 Mount Eden project has been shortlisted for the 2026 NZIA Auckland Architecture Awards.

Located in a key city-fringe centre, 45 Mount Eden was designed to provide high-quality, middle-class housing while making a positive contribution to the surrounding urban environment. The development comprises 15 dual-aspect apartments and a street-level restaurant, creating a vibrant and connected place to live and gather. The project takes advantage of excellent urban amenity and transport connections, while incorporating a range of sustainability initiatives, including centralised services, solar electricity generation, and landscaped gardens.

We're proud to see this project recognised by the New Zealand Institute of Architects and would like to thank our client, consultants, and project team for helping bring it to life.

On Monday, our recently completed school, Te Kura Rai Iti Primary School, was officially opened with a beautiful dawn blessing and pōhiri led by Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki. It was a moving and meaningful morning, and a special opportunity to celebrate the collective effort behind this project.

We would like to thank the and for entrusting us with the design of a building that celebrates students, teachers, and the wider community who will use this space for years to come. Our thanks also extend to FORM Building and Developments and the wider project team for their dedication and commitment in delivering a successful outcome.

A special thank you to the Principal, Libby Slaughter, for your ongoing support and thoughtful input throughout the design process - your collaboration truly helped make this project run so smoothly.

We were also honoured to be joined by Education Minister Erica Stanford and local MP Rima Nakhle in marking this important milestone.

ASC is off to an exciting start for the year!

Our first two weeks back included an office site visit to Ormiston Junior College’s Stage 2 project, where we’re proposing a new two-level teaching block. The development will deliver 25 new teaching spaces, two learning support spaces, and a multi-purpose hall—all designed to support modern learning.

The project is tracking well and is on course for completion in July 2026. Watch this space as the project takes shape and progresses through to completion!
