The company was established to create innovative and interesting homes built with traditional care and attention to detail that delight whatever the budget. Taylor Construction enjoys a solid reputation built on trust, integrity and for a high quality outcome and satisfaction that endures.

“Do it once and do it right” is the simple philosophy that guides Damien Taylor, Managing Director and owner of Taylor Construction. Damien is particularly proud to be on excellent terms to this day with past clients and the owners now living in the homes he has built. All Taylor Construction's clients have been able to be exactly as involved in their projects as they chose to be, an option that ensures maximum pleasure and minimum stress; very important when working together for extended periods in time. Contractors and sub-contractors used by Taylor Construction have all passed the test of time and stand squarely behind their work, another great way to generate confidence and minimise stress. Taylor Construction can offer a Master Builders Guarantee on all new projects. If you have plans to build your new dream home, modify and renovate, alter or add to the home you have, then contact Taylor Construction and be pleasantly surprised by just how easy the process can be.

Tools down. Feet up. Someone else can build the BBQ this weekend.

A few snaps of our Bisset Road crew doing what they do best, putting in the hard yards and keeping things moving.

Behind every build are good people showing up, getting stuck in and taking pride in their work. These are a few of ours.

To our team, our tradies and everyone who keeps the wheels turning, cheers for all you do.

Have a great Labour Day weekend, from all of us at Taylor Construction. You’ve earned it. 👏

We gave Tammy access to the site.

In hindsight, we probably should’ve expected this. 👀

The full episode of Tammy’s Great Designs is finally here.

What project do you want Tammy working on next?

25+ years in construction, a Site Manager at Taylor Construction, and, as it turns out, a qualified tennis coach. 🎾

Meet Greg.

After more than two decades in the industry, Greg still gets the biggest kick out of seeing a project come together and knowing he played a part in getting it across the line.

For Greg, it’s not just about the build either. He enjoys meeting new people, passing on a bit of the knowledge he’s picked up along the way, and lending a hand wherever he can.

Off site, it’s less hard hats and more handicaps, Greg enjoys a round of golf whenever time allows. ⛳️

And before construction came calling, Greg was a qualified tennis coach.

Tennis’ loss, construction’s gain. We’ll take it. 👷🎾

Good to have you on the team, Greg.

Site Update - Progress Taking Shape at McKinnon Crescent, Otangarei site.

There’s been plenty happening on site, with civil construction now nearing completion and the project preparing to move into its next major phase.

Major drainage network installation and upgrades are underway, services are installed, and preparation is progressing for the hardscaped JOAL and carpark surfaces.

Apartment A is moving ahead with foundations and the slab poured, while the concrete tilt panels are being manufactured and are scheduled for delivery and installation in early September.

Apartment B is also progressing through foundations and slabs, with its tilt panels expected on site for installation in mid-September.

Looking ahead, work will soon begin on the foundations for both terrace blocks as the project continues into vertical construction.

As the build progresses, we’re also looking forward to creating further opportunities to engage with local and Māori-owned businesses.
Great to see the momentum continuing on site. 👷‍♂️🏗️

Great Designs with Tammy Davis proves there really is no “I” in team.

Unless you’re Tammy Davis

There’s plenty happening on site at Bisset Road, with great progress being made across both Stage 1 and Stage 2.
Stage 1 is well underway, with all foundation slabs now poured and framing in progress. Our carpentry teams are busy preparing for roofing and cladding, with bricklaying also set to begin over the coming weeks. Plumbing and electrical works are now underway as the first trades move through the homes.
Stage 2 is also progressing well, with foundations currently being prepared and pours planned over the next few weeks. Carpentry teams are expected to move into framing in early September.
A highlight for the project has been our latest reporting, which showed 100% local trades engaged across the site. We’re proud to be supporting the local community and look forward to continuing to work alongside local trades as the development progresses.
