Good insulation matters. But it can’t do the whole job on its own.
Think of insulation like a woolly jumper on a cold, windy day. It helps slow heat transfer, but add a windproof outer layer and suddenly that jumper works much better.
Your home works in a similar way.
Insulation slows heat transfer through the building envelope, while airtightness reduces uncontrolled air movement through gaps and cracks.
That means the insulation and high-performance windows you’ve invested in can do their job more effectively.
