🪟🔧 FRICTION STAYS… WHAT ON EARTH ARE THEY?! 🤔

Ever opened a window and had it suddenly slam shut? 💥

Or perhaps you've got one that takes two hands, a bit of muscle and a few choice words just to get it open? 😂

Chances are, your friction stays might be the problem!

Friction stays are the hinges that allow your aluminium windows to open, close and stay in position.

Over time, they can become worn, stiff, bent or corroded, making your windows difficult to operate.

🚩 Signs your friction stays might need attention:

😂🚪 WHEN YOUR RANCH SLIDER GROWS ITS OWN WHEEL! 🤣

We've seen some interesting things over the years… but this one deserves a special mention!

Our guys were servicing a ranch slider recently, and when they removed the door, they discovered something rather impressive. 😳

A WHEEL made entirely of HAIR! 🫣

Yep, you read that right!

Years of human and pet hair collecting in the track, combined with the door sliding back and forth, had managed to roll itself into a perfectly formed little hair wheel! 😂

Who needs replacement rollers when your door can apparently manufacture its own?!

All jokes aside, this is a great reminder of why keeping your ranch slider tracks clean is so important.

Built-up hair, dirt and debris can affect how smoothly your door operates and contribute to unnecessary wear on the rollers and track.
