From empty shell to finished retail space.

What looks seamless at the end starts with a lot of planning, coordination and work behind the scenes.
This before, during and after view shows just how much goes into turning a space from construction site to customer-ready environment.
The finished result is only part of the story.

A comfortable home should not need constant adjusting.

Smart climate control lets you set the temperature, automate heating and cooling, manage different rooms separately, and control it all from your phone.

Sound changes how a space feels.

The right audio can add energy, create atmosphere and make a space feel more considered.

For commercial fit-outs like this, we plan speaker placement around how people move through and use the environment, helping deliver consistent sound without obvious loud spots, quiet areas or unnecessary visual clutter.

It’s one of those things customers might not consciously notice when it’s done well. But they’ll definitely notice when it isn’t.

A smart home isn’t about adding more screens, apps and controls.

It’s about removing some of the small things you have to think about every day.

Lighting, blinds, climate, entertainment and security can be designed to work together around the way you actually live, whether that’s leaving home, winding down for the night or simply moving from one space to another.

The best result is technology that feels less noticeable, not more.

Before the walls close up, this is where a lot of the work happens.

At Te Pae School, our team worked through the prewire stage installing network and security cabling, access control infrastructure, CCTV runs and the pathways needed to support the finished systems.

Cable routes, penetrations, repositioning and variations all had to be coordinated as the build progressed.

Most of it disappears once the school is finished but getting this stage right is what makes everything work later.

We’ve taken a closer look at what goes into the process in our latest blog.

Te Pai School, Redhill.

A project that started behind the walls and finished with the infrastructure in place to support a connected and secure school environment.

Safe N Sound delivered the network, security and access control systems, along with provision for CCTV and audio, working across the project from prewire through to installation and commissioning.

As the build progressed, our team also worked through changes to cable routes, access requirements and additional network runs to keep everything coordinated with the wider construction programme.

A lot of this work is designed to disappear once the building is complete. What matters is that the systems behind it are planned properly and ready to perform every day.

Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference to the finished installation.

For this project, we designed a custom 3D-printed maglock shroud to offset the lock from the corner of the post and conceal the power cable feeding into it.

Purpose-built for the job. Cleaner in the finish.
