Our Kerikeri team assisted Downer Transport & Infrastructure with resilience upgrade works to the Kaitaia Airport recently. Key infrastructure upgrades from drainage improvements through to resurfacing entire runway, taxiway, and apron. Our team enjoyed collaborating with all teams across these works and our Tiny Surveyor (Pre-line marking robot) got to spread its wings…ah wheels, on the runway 😉 A very versatile and accurate tool for airport projects.

🚧 💧 A surveyor’s snapshot of the new wastewater treatment plant for Te Puke. The project is well under way with Dowell who’ll deliver the new facility to replace the existing plant which Te Puke will outgrow. Earthworks started in January and our team are proud to be a part of this construction. It’s the country’s first wastewater treatment plant that will use modern INVENT Sequence Batch Reactor (iSBR®) treatment technology.

Momentous moment on the Hikuwai bridge replacement project! Our surveyor captured the first girder being lifted and placed into position. Weighing 30 tonnes each, this is 1 of 12 girders that will be installed, marking the start of the superstructure of the bridge. We’re working with CLL - Service & Solutions on the new two lane, 100m bridge. An important build for the local communities 😊

A day in the life of a CCTV operator, navigating underground networks and occasionally meeting the local residents! 👀🐾
We’re used to finding blocked pipes, damaged ducts, and mystery obstructions, but this little guy definitely wasn’t on the plans!
No possums were harmed during the inspection, although this one seemed pretty curious about the camera crew. 📹😅

Survey Worx has been awarded New Zealand’s flagship project of 2026 🚀 The new Dunedin Hospital development valued at $1.9B+.

This inpatients building will be NZ’s largest hospital project to date. We’re on board with CPB Contractors to construct the 11-storey hospital. At peak construction, the project will support more than 900 full-time-equivalent jobs including multiple surveyors. We’re very excited to help and wish our team all the best with the milestone build. Stay tuned for updates!

Three months between these photos. One seriously impressive transformation happening in Mount Maunganui. 👏
From early structural works to multiple levels rising fast, The Pitau project is really starting to take shape. For our survey team, it’s front-row seats to the precision, coordination, and hard work happening across site every single day. From set out and as-builts to keeping everything tracking true, it’s rewarding watching the plans become reality at this scale. Huge credit to all the crews pushing this one forward with Sanderson Group Limited.
🚧🏗️ Progress like this doesn’t happen by accident.
