Qualified Builder / Lead Foreman Wanted
TMC – West Auckland based, working Auckland wide
We’re looking for an experienced NZ qualified builder to step into a Lead Foreman role with us.
You’ll still be on the tools and running jobs, but we also need someone who can help oversee the other guys and check in on other jobs from time to time.
We’re after someone who can actually run and push a job. Someone who thinks ahead, knows what the next trade needs, keeps the guys moving and doesn’t need to be told every little thing.
You’ll need to:
* Be NZ trade qualified in carpentry
* Have good all-round building experience
* Be able to run jobs and workers
* Think ahead and keep jobs moving
* Have a good eye for quality and pick things up before they become problems
* Be able to deal with clients and subcontractors
* Follow our onsite systems, photos, job notes and QA
* Present yourself well and represent TMC properly
* Have a full NZ driver’s licence
* Take pride in your work and actually finish a job properly
We want someone who is fair and good with people, but also isn’t afraid to give the hard word when it needs to be given.
Most importantly, we want someone with a bit of drive who wants to progress.
For the right person, this could eventually lead into an Operations Manager role and moving off the tools as TMC continues to grow.
Pay/package will be discussed depending on experience and what you can bring to the role.
A few non-negotiables:
No NZ trade qualification – don’t bother applying.
Can’t pass a police vetting check – don’t bother applying.
Can’t provide good, contactable references – don’t bother applying.
