When we design traps to be bird-safe, we are also helping keep our whanau safe.

Preventing curious beaks from being able to access traps and bait works just as well for keeping out curious hands and noses. Rest easy knowing kids and pets are also being looked after.

Birds getting in the habit of stealing bait and lures is an issue bigger than simply the slashing of trap efficacy, though that is part of it.

Even worse, on occasion, these acts of petty thievery can end with the birds setting off the traps on themselves or ingesting toxins that may prove fatal.
