A few months on, and we’re still incredibly proud of the achievement.

We were honoured to be recognised at the ANZ Business of the Year Awards, taking home the Supreme Award along with several other category awards.

While the recognition is a reflection of the business as a whole, it belongs first and foremost to our team. To the people who show up every day, take pride in their work and consistently strive to get the job done right.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together, and grateful to everyone who has played a part in getting us here.

When you ring GDC, you're dealing with the family.

Michael, Blake and Lane each run their own side of the business: contracting, drilling and the workshop. Greg's still in the office every day. It's the same people and the same standard, and it's going to stay that way.

Tea poured. Egg placed. Nothing spilt, nothing broken.

Good operators aren't born knowing how to do it. They put the hours in.

Casey Flett is one of the youngest operators at GDC. On Saturday he lined up in the novice class at the Civil Contractors NZ Canterbury-Westland Excavator Operator Competition and took out 1st place.

Proud of you, Casey. Plenty more to come.

One machine. Now a team of 50-plus.

Michael takes us back to where GDC began: his father Greg with a truck and a digger, doing whatever the district's farmers needed. Today that covers general contracting, power installation, directional drilling, demolition, civil and farm work, all still run by the family.
