INTERNATIONAL MUD DAY 🌧️🥾
International Mud Day is all about kids getting outside, connecting with nature, and having proper messy play. Around here, we reckon the Waterworx crew never fully grew out of it.

Trenches, crawl spaces, under houses in the middle of winter, if there’s mud in Central Otago, there’s a fair chance you’ll find a Waterworx boot in it.

After two -8°C frosts, it’s been a crazy, busy run with hot water cylinders, frozen pipes, burst pipes, and plenty of winter plumbing fun.
Frozen in the morning, muddy by smoko. All in a day’s work for the Waterworx Legends.

Monday mood: fix what you can, laugh at the rest, keep moving.

Some Mondays start with a frozen pipe, a mystery leak, a full inbox, and a fitting that was definitely in the van yesterday, the schedule out the door!

🐰 PINCH AND A PUNCH or WHITE RABBITS? Which are YOU?🥊

Settle a debate for us, Central Otago. Every first of the month there are two types of people:
🐰 Team White Rabbits, first words out of your mouth before anything else, for a whole month of good luck. Very civilised. Very polite.
🥊 Team Pinch and a Punch, get in quick, get the elbow in, dodge the "a pinch and a kick for being so quick" comeback. Chaotic. We respect it. Tessa Handford is the queen of this in the Waterworx family
Fun fact: both go back over 100 years! The "white rabbits" good-luck chant was being written about as far back as 1909, and rabbits have been lucky charms in folklore forever. Mean while "pinch and a punch" supposedly started as a way to ward off witches. A pinch of salt to weaken 'em, a punch to send 'em packing. 🧙‍♀️
The one thing they agree on? You've gotta be FIRST. Just like you'll want to be first to call us when your pipes freeze this winter. 😉❄️

👑 King's Birthday Long Weekend 👑

Life gets busy. Work gets hectic. The year can fly by before you know it. This long weekend is a good reminder to slow down, recharge, and spend some quality time with the people who matter most. There's something special about spending time with the legends who make you laugh like you're 16 again.

How awesome are the Zimbabwe sunsets, best in the world, who agrees?
