02/10/2026

It’s been another busy week on the ground, with solid numbers of rabbits removed alongside a few pigs.

The photos speak for themselves — when pest numbers are high, the impact on pasture, feed and the wider property can be significant. Consistent control makes a difference.

We provide practical, targeted pest management across Central Otago, Otago, Southland and South Canterbury, including:

• Thermal night shooting
• Rabbit control for farms, stations and lifestyle blocks
• Predator control
• Feral pig, deer and goat control
• Ongoing pest management programmes

Whether you’re dealing with a major rabbit problem or simply want to get numbers under control before they become one, get in touch with our team to get booked in!

Busy week on the rabbit control front! 🐇

We’ve continued to see very high rabbit numbers across multiple Central Otago properties this week, with a huge number of pregnant does amongst them.

With breeding well underway, numbers can escalate incredibly quickly. Getting on top of rabbits before the next generation hits the ground can make a huge difference to the level of control required later.

If you’re noticing increasing rabbit numbers, grazing pressure or damage around your property, now is the time to act.

Get in touch with Central Otago Pest Management to discuss a rabbit control plan for your property & book in your free property assessment.

Servicing Central Otago, Otago, Southland & South Canterbury!

History is repeating itself across New Zealand's back country and farms but this time there are no good keen men being handed ri**es and rations and sent to sort it out.
