Café Marlo | From Burger Restaurant to a Japandi Café.
We recently completed a new café project in the heart of The Hague, on Hooikade, overlooking a charming city canal (← Swipe left to see the view), with outdoor seating for sunny days.
Before our clients took over the space, it was a hamburger restaurant with a completely different look and feel. Our goal was to transform it into a café that reflected their brand identity and vision.
From the clients’ logo and brand colours to the intended target audience and the character of the surrounding neighbourhood, every detail was carefully considered to create a concept that felt uniquely Café Marlo.
Inspired by Japandi aesthetics, we reimagined the space from layout to décor, carefully combining clean lines, natural materials, and a restrained colour palette to create a calm yet inviting atmosphere and a thoughtfully designed café experience.
