Het volledig voorontwerp van het Spoorpark werd goedgekeurd.
Het Spoorpark zal verschillende Antwerpse wijken tussen Zurenborg en Borgerhout op een groene manier met elkaar verbinden en toegankelijk maken. De buurtbewoners worden betrokken bij elke fase van het ontwerpproces. Het definitieve ontwerp voor de publieke ruimte van het Spoorpark wordt verwacht in het voorjaar van 2024.

Start the construction of ZUS Polderlab Delft!

The end of the polder as we know it is in sight. Due to climate change, rising sea levels, land subsidence, salinisation, drought, and loss of biodiversity, it has become inevitable that the Dutch polder landscape will undergo a fundamental transition. This necessitates new narratives and imagination for the polder of the future.

Polderlab Delft will be a place for thinking, designing, researching, making, testing, and discussing new types of landscapes, new ways of living together with the water, new crops, and new systems.

Polderlab Delft is a transformed old farm in the middle of the countryside between Rotterdam and Delft. It will be an autarkic monolith in the landscape, lifted above the ground. The colours of the complex will merge with the typical Dutch skies and celebrate the lush green landscape of meadows, orchards, and vegetable gardens. The adjacent meadow will serve as a testing field for new polder prototypes.

Slachthuishof Haarlem a.k.a. Rockplein is getting ready. The district was imagined as a Matroesjka doll, ranging from fully public in the centre, via collective encroachment zones to semi-public gardens. The core housing a popcentre, while offering various places for living around it.

The main square will be a shared space for play and encounters, while young bands can load their trucks for the next gig. The pergola frames the central space and offers possibilities for vertical planting.

The entire district will hold its water for dry periods and a decentralized irrigation system will take care of enough water for the planting. Blind walls of the housing serve as birds nests and vertical gardens to mitigate heat stress.

Elk ontwerpteam zal een locatie kiezen en hierbinnen onderzoek doen naar het ontwikkelen van 10.000 klimaatbestendige woningen.
