Our work entails safety risks, for ourselves and for our environment.
Safety comes first, always, and everywhere, day and night. Only then we are 24Safe!
Safety is a top priority within Ooms Producten.

Within Ooms Producten we are aiming that all our employees can perform their works in pleasant, healthy, and safe manner.

To ensure this, we provided our colleagues at the factory in Schagen with new workwear.

This workwear is fire resistant, antistatic, provides good visibility, and ensures wearing comfort.

𝗢𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗔

IMAA stands for International Mastic Asphalt Association.

The IMAA promotes the worldwide cooperation of national associations, specialist organisations, companies and suppliers in the mastic asphalt industry and the construction material mastic asphalt in all its varieties.

Mastic asphalt is a mixture of bitumen, filler, sand and chippings and can be used in many different ways.

The areas of application for mastic asphalt are versatile: foot- and cycle paths, public spaces, industrial floorings, parking decks, railway platforms, tunnels, bridges, and roads/highways.

Mastic asphalt wearing courses are characterised by high resistance to deformation and a high skid resistance. Mastic asphalt surfaces are durable, waterproof and 100% reusable.

Did you know that Ooms Producten can supply Sealoflex® for mastic asphalt and Sealoflex® Color for colored mastic asphalt?

Sealoflex® (GA) binders are suitable for use in mastic asphalt for light application (floors in buildings) to heavy duty application (steel bridge decks), and in colored mastic asphalt surfaces.

Due to the specific composition of Sealofle(GA-LT), mastic asphalt can be produced and processed at a temperature up to 30°C lower than the standard temperature, through which the mastic asphalt ages less.

This lower temperature results in less bitumen v***r emissions during application and a longer service life of the pavement.

Ooms Products organizes a company-wide meeting for its employees twice a year, the first taking place this afternoon.
A meeting in which we briefly look back at 2021, communicate the current state of 'where are we now' and look ahead.

The topics of Safety and Innovations are also on the agenda.
Safety is a top priority within Ooms Products. Our safety policy and the 24Safe manual will be highlighted.
With regard to the innovations, the roadmap 2022-2025, will be presented.

At the end of the meeting we have a Shared Dinner at Oranje Buiten in Hoorn.

Another day at the office…..

One of our highly respected clients in the Middle East ordered 3.800 barrels of Sealoflex Color PG76 binder for coloured asphalt application.

As part of this order, we have loaded 800 barrels in containers at our premises last week. The remaining 600 barrels will start their journey by the end of next week.

Ooms PMB HK Limited is proud to contribute to this challenging project as a partner of the Hong Kong International Airport Authority and the SCKU JV.

The Third Runway project will be completed in June 2022. Over the past 14 months, Ooms has been responsible for the supply of 11.000 MT Sealoflex SFB5-20 (JR) and 16.000 MT 60/70 PEN Bitumen.

The polymer modified bitumen are produced at the Sealoflex PMB production facility at the project site (new reclaimed island north of the existing airport ), in close vicinity of the two asphalt batching plants of the contractor.

The Sealoflex® SFB-5 range of polymer modified bitumen is specially designed to improve the durability and to increase the availability of asphalt pavements at airports.

Asphalt mixtures containing Sealoflex® SFB-5 binder offer high resistance to deformation, rutting and cracking, even under concentrated loads, which is confirmed by results in laboratories and in practice

The unique feature of Sealoflex JR (Jet-fuel resistant) binders is that it makes asphalt resistance to fuels such as jet fuel and petrol. This ensures leaking fuels do not damage the asphalt.

Early April Ooms Producten was attending the DAV-Asphalt seminar in Willingen, Germany.
Our booth was well visited, and we had many interesting conversations with stakeholders from the industry.
Themes included sustainability, transformation from hot-mix asphalt production to warm-mix asphalt production and the current macro-economic situation, resulting in availability issues and increasing price levels.
Since 2002 Ooms Producten has been developing polymer modified binders for more sustainable asphalt production at lower temperatures.
Sealoflex® LT (LT= Low Temperature) binders enable the production of asphalt at a 30 degrees lower production temperature, resulting in 30% lower CO2 emission and a considerable saving on energy costs.

Begin april was Ooms Producten aanwezig bij het DAV-Asphalt seminar in Willingen, Duitsland.
Onze stand werd goed bezocht en we hebben veel interessante gesprekken mogen voeren met stakeholders uit de branche.
Thema’s waren onder meer duurzaamheid, omschakelen van Hot-mix asfaltproductie naar warm-mix asfaltproductie en de huidige macro-economische situatie met als gevolg beschikbaarheidsproblemen en stijgende prijsniveaus.

Ooms Producten ontwikkelt sinds 2002 polymeer gemodificeerde bindmiddelen voor een duurzamere asfaltproductie bij lagere temperaturen.
Sealoflex® LT (LT= Low Temperature) bindmiddelen maken de productie van asfalt mogelijk bij een 30 graden lagere productie temperatuur, resulterend in 30% lagere CO2-uitstoot en een aanzienlijke besparing op energiekosten.
