The Heligrid in combination with a “harpoon rapid securing system” is a system with the aim securing a helicopter to the flight deck immediately after touchdown by engaging and locking of the helicopter harpoon onto a landing grid in the flight deck.

The pilot can land on the Heligrid the same way as on land. While landing, the harpoon automatically latches onto the helicopter landing grid. The helicopter is then pulled toward and fixed onto the helicopter deck. In this fixed position, the helicopter follows the movement of the vessel without the risk of sliding or toppling. The pilot can now safely shut down and leave the helicopter together with all passengers.

Take a look inside!

A structure within a structure.
From the outside, it’s a landing grid. But look inside, and you’ll find a miniature world of symmetry, steel and light.

This photo shows the interior of one of our Heligrids – an unexpected play of geometry, columns and reflections.

Watch as one of our smaller Heligrids makes its way to a land-based test location.

These compact units are mainly used for testing and demonstration purposes, but they’re made with the same precision and finishing as our full-scale helicopter landing platforms. Safety first, so these testing units of course meet STANAG 1276 standards.

In this clip, you’ll see how the grid is carefully placed into the foundation block.

In this behind-the-scenes video, you’ll see how our heligrids are assembled step by step.

From the initial framework to the final grid installation, every part is designed and built for maximum safety, durability, and ease of maintenance. Whether installed on naval vessels or offshore platforms, our heligrids ensure secure landings in the most demanding conditions.
