Celebrating 5 years of Bright Renewables North America! 🥳

Five years ago, Bright Renewables set out to bring proven renewable gas technology to the North American market.

Today, that ambition has grown into more than 30 commissioned systems across the U.S.

And at the heart of that growth is a dedicated team that stepped into new roles, brought ideas to the table, supported each other and kept moving forward, project after project.

Five years is a big milestone, and it’s one we’re proud to celebrate with the Bright Renewables North America team.

Thank you to our colleagues, customers and partners who have been part of the journey.

Norway is building one of Europe’s most interesting biogas ecosystems, bringing together carbon removal, renewable fuels and solutions for hard-to-decarbonise transport.

We’re becoming an increasingly active part of that landscape.

At Veas, Norway’s largest wastewater treatment plant, our CarboPac-L CO₂ liquefaction system is part of HOOPCO2, capturing biogenic CO₂ for permanent storage beneath the North Sea.

Further west, our PurePac Grand membrane system upgrades biogas for a bio-LNG plant in Hardanger, where salmon processing residues and poultry manure are turned into fossil-free fuel for heavy transport and maritime applications.

Two projects. Different technologies. One growing footprint across the Nordic renewable gas market.

And the pipeline continues to grow.

We’ll be discussing what’s happening in the Nordics and what comes next at the Nordic Biogas Conference in Reykjavík, 2–3 September.

Your biogas has more value to give. 🌱

Biogas upgrading doesn’t only produce biomethane. It also produces a CO₂ stream.

With CarboPac-L, that CO₂ can be recovered and liquefied into food-grade liquid bioCO₂, creating a second value stream from the same process.

And it can do more than generate additional revenue. CO₂ liquefaction can help improve a project's carbon intensity (CI) score, reduce reliance on external CO₂ suppliers and provide a natural refrigerant alternative to Freon or ammonia.

From greenhouse enrichment and beverage carbonation to food packaging and refrigeration, liquid bioCO₂ has a range of applications.

Two valuable outputs. One integrated process.

Curious what this could mean for your biogas project? Get in touch.

Repowering existing biogas plants for biomethane production. 🌱

A major step forward at Le Gerre, Cremona.

Commissioning is underway, with four primary digesters now being commissioned as part of the revamping and expansion of three existing biogas plants in Northern Italy.

As part of HoSt Group, we are supplying the biogas upgrading installation, converting biogas into grid-ready biomethane.

Once fully operational, the three plants will process 4,000 Nm³/h of biogas and produce around 2,200 Nm³/h of biomethane, enough to supply the equivalent of 70,000 people.

The first digesters are already producing electricity through CHP. Next, our upgrading technology will prepare the gas for injection into the local gas grid.

The project is a strong example of repowering existing biogas infrastructure to increase output and create a new route to renewable natural gas, without starting from scratch.

Existing assets. Renewed capacity. More biomethane.

More to follow as Le Gerre moves toward gas-to-grid injection.

Progress continues in Eldena, Germany. 🇩🇪🚧

Our PurePac Compact 700 Nm³/h biogas upgrading project is moving closer to mechanical completion, with installation activities progressing on site.

A key aspect of this project is the integration of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidiser (RTO) alongside the biogas upgrading system. By treating the CO₂-rich off-gas stream, the RTO supports compliance with Germany’s stringent emission requirements while enabling efficient and reliable biomethane production.

At Bright Renewables, we understand that successful renewable gas projects require more than technology alone. They require solutions engineered around each customer’s operational needs, local regulations, and long-term goals.

By combining biogas upgrading and emissions treatment in one integrated system, we help our customers navigate complex requirements while unlocking the full potential of biogas.

More updates from Eldena coming soon.

A proud milestone for WABICO🏆

WABICO, our largest biomethane plant with integrated CO₂ capture and liquefaction, has officially achieved FSSC 22000 certification.

This globally recognised certification confirms that WABICO can produce food-grade CO₂ while meeting one of the highest food safety standards in the world.

As demand for CO₂ capture and liquefaction continues to grow, this achievement shows what's possible. It proves our technology can meet the quality standards required for food-grade applications and strengthens our ability to support clients pursuing the same ambition.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this achievement, especially the WABICO team, our colleagues, and consultant Stefan Speelmans. Great work! 👏
