OAO Open Architecture Office

OAO is an office focussing on both research and practice in architecture. It is founded by Jan Schevers and run by students of the TU/e.

OAO is headed by Jan Schevers, architect and teacher at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). The aim of OAO is to provide students of the TU/e with a platform where they can work on a variety of projects, spanning the gap between the academic environment and the real world of building. It offers students and recently graduated architects a chance to get directly involved with the design

process from the very first sketches, talks with the client and the city, up until the real act of building. We have formed an alliance with development company Brabants Wonen, who feel right at home in the challenging and inspiration-filled environment that OAO is.
