BETA is an office for architecture and research based in Amsterdam BETA is an office for architecture led by Auguste van Oppen and Evert Klinkenberg.

The office is centered around the idea that methodical approach is the precondition to good architecture. With its distinct research-driven approach, BETA works on offices, cultural projects, industrial buildings and (private) housing.

The building we designed for Wisselspoor is all about creating connections.

Residents are encouraged to move around and interact with each other by the myriad of little moments throughout the building.

Destinations such as the bike parking, launderette and the collective roof terrace, are strung together along attractive and well lit hallways and staircases. The expressive fire escape protrudes from the masonry façade and also creates a direct connection with the park.
