Our new website is live!

We are incredibly proud of the final result: www.keizerkoopmans.com

During development, we incorporated some of our studio’s core values into the web design;

Across scales: As a design studio, we work daily at various scales, from pavilions to urban planning. We’ve incorporated that dynamic into the website.

Functional design: The text is literally and figuratively subordinate to the design; we therefore let the images speak for themselves and have moved the navigation to the bottom, just like our drawing stamps.

Blending into its surroundings: We always want a design to blend perfectly into its surroundings; you can see that vision reflected in the use of transparency and overlays.

Residential Building Hibi: permit granted!

We are delighted to announce that the building permit for our sustainable and collective residential building HIBI has been granted! Construction will begin soon.

HIBI will be located in the heart of a new urban district ‘Amstelkwartier’ and will feature a diverse mix: 122 apartments, a lush courtyard garden on top of a supermarket, retail shops, offices, and a parking garage. Five detailed models present the urban design concept behind HIBI: distinctive urban residential blocks with an industrial, no-nonsense look and an elegant architectural character. The various residential blocks have been designed with great care and have a different approach to the street, sunlight, and the interior. With sharp facade lines and carefully designed stone facades, Hibi fits perfectly into its Amsterdam context.

Keizer Koopmans and Bureau B+B have been selected to design the urban plan for the Reitse Campus in Tilburg!

The Reitse Campus will be a lively and dense urban area with a mix of residential, work, sports, and educational functions. With over 2.000 new houses, the plan contributes to the ambition of the government and municipality to accelerate new housing developments. The area will focus on young professionals and form a central link in a new corridor connecting the green University campus with Tilburg train station. With a strong zoning of calm streets and lively public spaces, integration of various (stacked) sports functions, and striking architecture around the new heart of the neighborhood, the masterplan will have a layered quality that fits modern urban developments.

The Reitse Campus is part of ‘Kenniskwartier’: an area in Tilburg West that has been designated as one of the 16 large-scale housing development locations in the Netherlands (‘Novex’).

‘Berkelblok’ is our design for a striking corner building with social housing, for housing corporation Woonstad Rotterdam.

Due to the rational design, a very diverse residential program with quality apartments can still be realized on the spatially limited plot, at low construction costs. The main entrance is located next to a generous entrance gate that provides access to the courtyard. All outdoor spaces are located on the sunlit outside. In the facade, the vertical rhythm of the loggias is further accentuated by the tall dormer windows on the roof.
