Geotechnical site investigation for a virgin road project.

This is one of the earliest activities on a road alignment after preliminary,reconnaissance and final survey in the sequence of activities on a road project.
Geotechnical site investigation is a quality control measure to ensure the integrity of our infrastructure.
Soil samples were collected depth at intervals of 150m along the road alignment and will be taken to the laboratory for analysis where the California bearing ratio (CBR) will be analysed. This exercise will determine the volume of earthwork and also the quality of the fill material.
