Role - Architect
Industry: Architecture, Construction and Interior Designs.
Location: Ibadan / Lagos, Nigeria.
Nature: On-site (on-site).
Remuneration: Negotiable alongside relevant industry benchmarks and experience level.
Job Description:
1. Lead and manage architectural design projects from conceptual development through to construction documentation and site supervision.
2. Prepare detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, renderings, and technical specifications using industry-standard software.
3. Collaborate closely with the Construction, Interior Design, and Project Management teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout project ex*****on.
4. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and space planning analyses for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
5. Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
6. Ensure all designs comply with Nigerian building codes, zoning regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
7. Oversee the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and contract administration when required.
8. Mentor junior architectural staff and provide technical guidance where necessary.
Person Specifications:
1. Strong creative and spatial reasoning abilities with keen attention to detail.
2. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
5. Sound knowledge of sustainable design principles and emerging construction technologies.
6. Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt design solutions to budget and site constraints.
7. Professional integrity, accountability, and a collaborative team spirit.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc or B.Arch) in Architecture from a recognized institution.
2. Master’s degree (M.Sc or M.Arch), is compulsory.
3. Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is mandatory.
4. NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
Minimum of 3–5 years post-NYSC experience in an architectural firm, construction company, or real estate development environment.
6. A strong portfolio demonstrating completed projects (residential, commercial, or industrial) from concept to handover.
7. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and project documentation.
8. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between Ibadan and Lagos project sites as required.
