A man called me recently to do a quote for a electrical work in a 40ft container in Ogun state. I did the quote, sent it to him via email.

By this morning, I got a call from him asking whether the quote was for two containers? And why was my professional fee so high? When you hear HIGH, you'd think it's N200,000.

I told him that, an electrical job that would take two days at most, in an unknown location I charge N150,000. That, even in my solar installations, I pay people that work with me N75,000/day. Next thing I heard was "don't worry I'll call you back".

Up until today, I've not heard from him.😂😂😂

Good morning lovers of everything solar.

I have a question for you all today.

My question is, WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR INSTALLATION WHEN THE RAINS COME?

A lot of installation and clients don't ask these questions and I have seen over and over again how frustrating the after effect can be.

This takes me to a time during an installation at Ifo in Ogun state in 2015, where I went to install a 5kva with 8-panels and two units(was later upgraded to four units) of 220A Gel batteries for a military man. It wasn't raining when I started even though the cloud was ready to cry. I hurriedly connected all my panels, strung the panel cables to the desire point, and boom! It started raining heavily.

I could see the man's looks like "na now I go know whether this thing go work". I smiled knowing my expertise.

Eventually I finished and even with the rain, the panels were still pulling in energy from the little peak of light ray.

So I ask you installer and I ask you client. How do you want your system to function? Only during sunny days or even with rainy days at hand?
