A new week is another opportunity to remind ourselves that success in this industry is not something you force, shortcut, or manipulate your way into.

As an installer, approach every job with professionalism, patience, proper assessment, correct procedures, and respect for the craft. Don’t rush to impress a client today and create a problem that will disgrace you tomorrow.

And to those trying to force their way into success without following the right process, remember this, you may force your way into a job, but you cannot force competence, reputation, or longevity.

Do the work properly. Learn the right way. Ask questions when you don’t know. Use the right materials. Follow safety procedures. Build your reputation one successful installation at a time.

This week, don’t just look for jobs, build a name that makes the right jobs look for you.
