Don’t be like me that lost my first client whom I was ready to deliver quality for. I interned with a firm that always involves in 2d drawings with high-level details.
A day came when I have my first client that was referred by a friend. I was able to convince him that am the best person for the job with the help of my former work. I produced the working drawings and he was mesmerized and ordered for 3d rendering.
As I started working on the project, I quickly realized that I was in my head. I struggled to create the 3D rendering that the client had requested, and I found myself spending more and more time on it. I tried to learn as much as I could about 3D rendering, but I couldn't seem to get it right.
As the deadline approached, I realized that I wouldn't be able to deliver the 3D rendering that the client needed. I reluctantly contacted the client and explained the situation, apologizing for not being able to deliver on my promise. The client was disappointed and frustrated, as they had already invested a lot of time and money into the project.
I felt terrible about letting the client down, and I knew that I had made a mistake by accepting a project that I didn’t take the time to learn.
I outsourced my second 3d rendering project, but it did not match the standard of the client.
I then took time to learn Revit Architecture. Since then I was able to make my client satisfied with well-modeled 3ds.
I can now charge my client as I want. I freelanced to earn in dollars also.
My passion is to make others learn not to fall into the trap I fell into and to upskill people in the construction industry.
