Morning Devotion: The God in Me 🕯️
"I am in the Father, and the Father is in me."
When we read these words, we must realize they are a reality for us today. The Bible tells us that God is in us. This means your body is not just flesh and blood; it is a temple. It is the housing for a divine light, a "torch" that is meant to guide your path.
Sometimes we look at the world and feel confused. We see the woman who decides to sell her body for quick money, or the man who lives in constant fornication, jumping from one woman to another, yet it seems like their lives are moving forward. They have the money, the connections, and the comfort.
Do not be envious of a life built on a vacuum. When a man or woman uses their body—the very body that God inhabits—for things that go against His nature, they are trading away their "torch" for a temporary shadow.
The Cost of the Vacuum
Physical success cannot hide a spiritual problem. When someone chooses these paths, the presence of God is grieved, and "devils' instruments" take up residence. You may see them smiling or spending money, but you do not see the anger, the lack of peace, and the internal problems that follow when the Spirit is pushed out.
Success without God in you is just a decorated cage.
Ministering the Word Today
Today, choose to protect the God in you.
Be Patient: Don't be pressured by the "fast moves" of those who live in sin.
Be Holy: Respect your body as the temple it truly is.
Be Bold: Know that the light inside you is worth more than any ill-gotten wealth.
When you keep the "torch" lit, you don't need to look at what others are doing. You are walking with the Creator of the universe.
