Anytime I travel to a particular town for work, there's a guest house I usually like to lodge, for just a number of reasons. One of them is that they have Inverters as backup for their electricity supply. They hardly even have electricity supply and when they do, it may even not be able to power certain gadgets.
Funny thing is, the guest house isn't even close to where our project is situated but the fact that I have access to power supply anytime of the day does it for me.
When we were setting up our new Office recently, one of the things that took money was our Inverter. I figured that we couldn't run the business on generators since we are not exactly a product selling business that sells a particular product everyday, yet we need to put on our computers and lights everyday. Also, the noise of generators can be so distracting for Creatives and chase away some inspirations. Inverter was our best bet. It is one investment that I can say I'm happy we did. It means, we can work from morning till night without having to worry about NEPA.
See, if you want to venture into Shortlet Business or a Small Hotel Business in Nigeria, one of the investments you should consider is Inverters/Solar Panels. You cannot run your business on generators and sporadic electricity. You can end up frustrated so easily.
What you will save on fuel and generators by using Solar/Inverters can be very significant. Besides, it let's your business keep running on electricity without any unnecessary interruption. There are different Inverter sizes for different capacities, so you don't have to start with a big one.

In this video, I discussed one of the problems faced by home owners during the construction of their buildings, with regards handing over their construction entirely to a Bricklayer who does not usually understand why an Architect designed in a particular way.
