ENGINEERS, BUILDERS & SITE SUPERVISORS — PLEASE BE CAREFUL! 🚨
The search for a job should never make you ignore your safety.
Recently, I have received more than 50 calls concerning the same supposed hospital project in Ngor Okpala, Imo State. I nearly fall for them. I drove from Anambra to Owerri before I noticed their game
The pattern, stories and details are remarkably similar, and that raises serious concerns.
What is even more worrying is that I have received similar calls from Delta State, Imo State and Port Harcourt. They often present themselves professionally, may already have building plans prepared, and quickly send the drawings to your WhatsApp to make everything appear legitimate.
Please don’t fall for it.
Before accepting or travelling for any unfamiliar project:
1. Verify the client.
2. Confirm the exact project location.
3. Request and authenticate the relevant documents.
4. Speak with credible references connected to the project.
5. Let someone you trust know where you are going.
6. Collect a site inspection fee before making the trip.
7. If anything doesn’t add up, walk away.
Never forget: No contract is worth your life.
Let’s share this information and protect our colleagues. If you have encountered similar people or received similar calls, please share your experience.
