Artisans, what do you do when the jobs are not coming?

You check your phone.
You wait for that customer to call.
You ask around for work.

And sometimes, nothing happens.

It can be discouraging, especially when bills are waiting.

But don't let a slow period make you give up on your skills.

Use the time to document your past work, contact old customers, learn something new, and let people know you're available for jobs.

A slow period is not the end of your journey.

Keep showing up. Keep improving. Your next opportunity may come from a step you take today.

Do have a great day

Dear artisan, don't be too hard on yourself.

Maybe someone you started learning with is getting bigger jobs.

Maybe another artisan has better tools, more customers, or a bigger workshop.

And you're wondering, "When will it be my turn?"

Take a breath.

Your journey doesn't have to look exactly like someone else's.

Keep improving your skills.

Treat your customers well.

Learn to manage your money.

Build your reputation one job at a time.

You may not have everything you want today, but you can keep taking steps towards it.

Don't give up on yourself because your progress looks different from someone else's.

One step at a time, great artisans.

Happy new week

“Just give me the job, I’ll manage the price.”

Sometimes, you reduce your price so much just to win the job.

Then you spend days working and realise the money can barely cover your materials and transport.

Before accepting a job, calculate properly.

Don’t just ask, “Will they accept my price?”

Ask, “Will this price cover the work?”
