CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE FAMILY OF LATE IFEANYI CHRISTOPHER NWORIE
The candidate for the Enugu State House of Assembly, Enugu East Urban Constituency, Ugwu Jude Chijioke, popularly known as Enugu Amaka, alongside party members, clergy, friends, and well-wishers, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Ifeanyi Christopher Nworie.
Late Ifeanyi Christopher Nworie reportedly lost his life on 10th October 2026 during the flag-off ceremony of the NDC governorship candidate, Dr. Chinyeaka Oha, at Park Avenue, GRA, Enugu.
During the visit, we expressed our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and shared in their grief over this painful and unfortunate loss. We pray that God will grant the family the strength, courage, and comfort to bear this irreparable loss.
We strongly condemn political violence and thuggery in Enugu State. No political activity or disagreement should ever result in the loss of innocent lives. We therefore call on the relevant government authorities and law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation, identify those responsible for this tragic incident, and ensure that justice is served in accordance with the law.
As a society, we must embrace peace, tolerance, and respect for human life, irrespective of political differences. Politics should be an avenue for service, development, and unity, not violence and bloodshed.
May the soul of the late Ifeanyi Christopher Nworie and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Signed:
Ugwu Jude Chijioke (Enugu Amaka)
Candidate, House of Assembly, Enugu East Urban Constituency
