🚨 THE TRUTH ABOUT EASTER — WHAT MANY HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD 👀

✨ A Celebration Few Truly Understand

What if one of the most widely celebrated “Christian” holidays…
has origins that have nothing to do with Christ?

Millions celebrate Easter every year with sincerity 💛
—but very few stop to ask:

👉 Did Jesus ever command it?
👉 And where did these traditions really come from?

---

📖 WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

The Bible never instructs Christians to celebrate Easter.
In fact, the word “Easter” appears only once in some translations—
and even there, it is a mistranslation of “Passover.”

---

📜 A LOOK INTO HISTORY

Easter as a celebration developed centuries after Jesus’ death.

Its name is commonly linked to Eostre (or Ostara)—
an ancient goddess associated with spring, fertility, and rebirth. 🌸

Early festivals in her honor included symbols…
that are still widely used today.

---

⚠️ COMMON EASTER TRADITIONS — WHERE DO THEY REALLY COME FROM?

🥚 Eggs
Long before Christianity, eggs symbolized fertility and new life in pagan spring festivals

🐰 The Bunny (Rabbit)
A well-known symbol of fertility due to rapid reproduction

🌅 Sunrise Services
Often connected to ancient sun worship practices

Over time, these customs were blended with Christian teachings
as the religion spread into pagan regions.

---

📖 WHAT DID JESUS ACTUALLY COMMAND?

Jesus did not instruct his followers to celebrate his resurrection.

Instead, he gave a clear command regarding his death:

📖 “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” — Luke 22:19

This is why early Christians observed
the Memorial of Christ’s death — not Easter.

---

⚖️ TRUE WORSHIP REQUIRES CLEAR SEPARATION

📖 “Separate yourselves… and quit touching the unclean thing.” — 2 Corinthians 6:17

For those who desire to worship God
“with spirit and truth” (John 4:24),

the issue is not popularity…
but accuracy and loyalty to God’s Word.

---

💡 WHY SOME CHOOSE NOT TO CELEBRATE EASTER

• It is not commanded in Scripture
• Its custom

Question 1-2. What should the ransom sacrifice of Jesus compel us to do, and why?

DIRECT ANSWER: The ransom sacrifice of Jesus should move us to show deep appreciation through our actions. Since we cannot save ourselves from sin, Jesus provided the way for us to gain forgiveness and the hope of living forever. This great act of love compels us to stop living only for ourselves and instead live for the one who died to rescue us.

CONCISE ANSWER: Jesus' love should motivate us to show that we do not take his sacrifice for granted. We respond by living our lives for him because he rescued us from sin and death.

BIBLE-BASED ANSWER: Proverbs 8:30, 31 describes the deep love and affection Jesus felt for the human race long before he came to earth as a man. This long-standing love provides a powerful reason for us to respond with gratitude for his sacrifice.

—-----------------------------------------

Question 3. Why might each person respond differently to the ransom?

DIRECT ANSWER: Each individual starts from a different place in their relationship with Jehovah, much like travelers starting a journey from different cities.
