The Chief Executive Officer of the Enterprise, Mr. Gisbertus Mukulu, conducted site visits to ongoing housing projects at Walvis Bay this morning. The site visit included the Informal Settlement Upgrading Project where 79 houses are being developed in Kuisebmund and 34 housing units in Meersig.

The visit enabled the delegation to assess progress on the ground and engage stakeholders on project implementation. These projects form part of ongoing efforts to improve access to decent and affordable housing. Mr. Mukulu, who was accompanied by NHE Deputy Chairperson, Mr. Hasting Tjipueja, urged contractors to ensure that both projects are delivered within the stipulated project timeframe.

The Enterprise handed over 82 newly built houses under the National Informal Settlement Upgrading Project (NISUP) to deserving beneficiaries during a ceremony in Swakopmund, Erongo Region. The event was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Hon. Evelyn !Nawases-Taeyele. Nineteen contractors worked on site and completed the project in record time while 285 residents were employed during the construction phase.
