Eden Greenfields Investments — Growing the Future, One Tower at a Time 🌱

What an incredible honour! Eden Greenfields Investments CC was privileged to be entrusted with the installation of hydroponic vertical towers at ODEC School in DRC, Swakopmund, and a full mixed-system hydroponic garden for the newly inaugurated Horizon Primary School.

This wasn't just an installation — it was a moment of national significance. We were humbled to have in attendance the Honourable Sanet Steenkamp, Minister of Education, Arts and Culture; Governor of the Erongo Region, Hon. Natalia ǀGoagoses; the Mayor of Swakopmund, Her Worship Suama Kautondokwa; and the President of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), Dr Panduleni Itula.

It was a deep privilege for Charles our Aquaponics & Hydroponics project manager, to personally walk our distinguished guests through the systems — explaining how these towers turn vertical space into thriving food gardens, how nutrient-rich water cycles through each plant, and how technology like this can put fresh, healthy vegetables directly into the hands of learners.

Education and food security go hand in hand, and days like this remind us why Eden Greenfields exists: to bring practical, sustainable agricultural technology into our communities — starting with our children.

Heartfelt thanks to ODEC for trusting us with this opportunity, and to every stakeholder who continues to champion sustainable agriculture in our schools. The future is green, and it's growing right here in Swakopmund. 🇳🇦💚

Tuta absoluta — A major seasonal threat to Namibian tomato farmers.

Sacrificial plants attract and concentrate the pest, sparing the main crop from direct damage.

Did you know?
Most Namibian tomato growers overlook the Bio-Decoy Trap Garden as a low-cost,chemical-reducing solution to one of their biggest seasonal threats. By intentionally planting Nicotiana species or other lure crops on the field perimeter, farmers create a sacrificial buffer zone — drawing Tuta absoluta away from the main crop and into a controlled space where targeted intervention is far easier.
