Seriously nowhere is safe and getting bed bugs on an airplane can turn your vacation into nightmare while the name bed bug makes it sound like the only place these bloodsuckers can attack you is in bed, you can actually pick up bed bugs at cinemas, hotels, hospitals and even on planes. A family of 3 kids flying from US Newark Liberty International Airport bound for India complained that their $10,000.00 business class seats are infested with bed bugs. Their infant daughter was covered in bites and her mom's arm was badly bitten on the 17 hours ordeal. It had a significant impact on their travel experience and unfortunate stress that they encountered during their flight, especially considering the high cost of their business class seats.
Bedbugs can indeed be found in various public places, including hotels, cinemas, hospitals, and even airplanes. These pests are skilled hitchhikers and can easily latch onto luggage, clothing, or other personal items, allowing them to spread to different locations.
If someone encounters bed bugs during their travels, it is important to notify the airline or airport staff immediately. They should document the incident and take appropriate action to address the infestation. In cases where passengers experience bites or discomfort due to bed bugs, seeking medical attention may be necessary.
