After working on so many clinic projects, I’ve come to realise one thing:
Being professional doesn’t mean a project will never have problems.
Things change once construction begins.
Dimensions, equipment, materials, and even things we couldn’t anticipate during the design stage may need to be adjusted on site. 🔨
What matters to me is how we respond when those problems happen.
I never want our clients to hear:
“That’s not our responsibility.”
“That’s a site issue.”
“The drawings were already approved.”
I want our team to ask:
“What happened?”
“How can we solve it?”
“How can we minimise the impact?”
Because our clients are trusting us with more than just a design.
They’re trusting us with their clinic, their budget, their timeline, and often, a business they’ve spent years preparing for. 🤝
That’s why I believe professionalism isn’t about promising that nothing will ever go wrong.
It’s about knowing that when something does go wrong,
there’s a team willing to face it with you.
That’s the kind of company I want MSD to be.
Do the work well.
And take responsibility for what we do. 🤍
