The Man Behind the Scaffold — Mr. Noor Apandie

At every project, every structure has a story. Behind every safe working platform, there is a team that makes sure people can work with confidence.

Meet Mr. Noor Apandie, Scaffolding Manager of ARMS Scaffolding Sdn Bhd, a dedicated leader who carries a great responsibility at the MRCSB TA2026.

His job is more than simply managing scaffolding.

It is about safety, discipline, teamwork and trust.

From the early morning preparation to the coordination of workers on site, Mr. Apandie understands that every scaffold must be planned, inspected and managed with the highest level of attention. In a refinery environment, there is no room for shortcuts and delays.

Standing on site with his safety helmet, PPE and walkie talkie in hand, he is not just giving instructions — he is leading from the front.

He communicates with his team, coordinates activities and reminds everyone that behind every piece of scaffolding is a human life depending on it.

📍 Location: Masjid Tanah, Melaka
💼 Employment Type: Full-Time
✈️ Travel: Willing to travel to outstation project sites (e.g., Paka, Gurun, Pengerang) when required

Key Responsibilities

Material Movement & Control: Coordinate, track, and manage the receipt, transfer, issuance, and return of tubular and modular scaffolding materials across yards, warehouses, and sites.

DO Accuracy & Verification: Cross-check and verify all Delivery Orders (DO) against physical stock, Material Requisitions (MR), and site requests to ensure exact quantities, descriptions, and site details upon dispatch or receiving.

Inventory Reconciliation: Maintain precise inventory records, conduct regular physical stock counts, and report/resolve any stock discrepancies promptly.

Planning & Reporting: Calculate required material quantities, monitor usage to prevent project shortages, and prepare weekly Material Reports, PRs, and MRs.

Asset & Quality Care: Track tools and equipment, document missing or damaged stock, and enforce safe storage and HSE compliance.

Cross-Team Coordination: Liaise closely with Project, Procurement, Site, and Warehouse teams for seamless material logistics.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Material Control, Inventory, or Logistics (scaffolding/construction background preferred).

Skills: Strong knowledge of stock control, stock reconciliation, and proficiency in MS Excel. Knowledge of scaffolding materials is an advantage.

Attributes: Organized, communicative, able to multitask, and work independently under pressure.

Licensing & Travel: Valid driving license and willingness to travel to outstation project sites.
