For this home, the scope was much more than just a kitchen. We planned and built multiple areas including the TV cabinet, display cabinet, dining storage, shoe cabinet, feature wall, hidden door, two kitchen cabinet sections, island, wardrobes for two bedrooms, a study desk, and storage cabinets around the washing machine area.

一年前做完整屋橱柜，一年后屋主又找回我们。🏡

这次回到 Casa Sutra, Setia Alam，是因为屋主扩建了湿厨房，所以再次交给我们负责橱柜安装。

不过今天来到现场，最先吸引我的反而不是厨房 😂
是屋主自己打理的花园。

整片花园都是自己种的花花草草，现场还看到很多蜜蜂在采蜜，随手数一下都有差不多 10 只 🐝🌿
我本身也是喜欢花草的人，看到这种景真的会忍不住多看几眼。

对我们来说，老顾客一年后有新的空间要做，还是愿意继续找回 M&J Kitchen，这种信任比什么都重要。

湿厨房接下来也会继续记录，看看这次扩建后的空间，我们会怎样重新规划和完成。

A year ago, we completed the cabinetry for this home. One year later, the owner came back to us again. 🏡

This time, we’re back at Casa Sutra, Setia Alam because the owner extended the wet kitchen and asked M&J Kitchen to handle the new cabinetry.

But the first thing that caught my attention today wasn’t the kitchen 😂
It was the garden.

The owner planted and maintained everything personally, and there were so many bees collecting nectar around the flowers. I counted almost 10 just from where I was standing. 🐝🌿

I personally like plants too, so this kind of garden really makes me stop and take a closer look.

For us, having an existing customer come back after a year and trust us again with a new space means a lot.

We’ll continue sharing the progress of this wet kitchen extension and how we plan the cabinetry around the new layout.

时隔一年，我们又回来这间屋了 👋

一年前，Casa Sutra 这间屋的 TV Cabinet、厨房以及其他定制柜体，都是由我们 M&J Kitchen 完成的。

住了一年后，屋主把 Wet Kitchen 扩建了，这一次又再次找回我们，继续帮他做新的厨房橱柜。

因为屋主已经入住，所以这次施工跟空屋不一样。
地面保护、现场切割、搬运和安装，都需要更加小心。

能够在屋外处理的切割，我们尽量放到屋外完成，减少屋内灰尘，也尽量不要影响屋主一家人的日常生活。

其实对我们来说，最开心的不只是完成一个 project。
而是顾客真正住进去、用了我们的柜子一段时间之后，有新的工程，还是愿意再回来找我们。🙏

这一集先带大家看安装过程，下一集再继续看看这个扩建后的 Wet Kitchen 完成出来会变成怎样。

One year later, we’re back at the same home 👋

A year ago, M&J Kitchen completed the TV cabinet, kitchen and other custom-built cabinetry for this home.

After living here for a year, the homeowner extended the wet kitchen — and came back to us again for the new kitchen cabinetry.

Since the family is already staying in the house, the installation process needs to be handled differently from an empty unit.

Floor protection, cutting, moving materials and installation all require extra care. Whenever possible, we carry out cutting works outside the house to reduce dust and minimise disruption to the homeowner.

For us, one of the best compliments is when a customer has lived with our cabinetry for a year and still chooses M&J Kitchen again for their next project. ❤️

这间屋子比较特别，因为屋主已经入住了，我们才进场继续做柜体安装。

屋主住在里面，施工方式当然不能跟空屋一样。
像切割、修整这些比较容易产生灰尘的工作，我们尽量安排在屋外进行；屋内则做好保护，再进行安装和调整，尽量减少灰尘和对屋主日常生活的影响。

所以这次你会看到，我们把施工分成几个区域来处理，一部分在 car porch，一部分在屋内，另外一部分柜体则分开摆放和安装。

已经入住后才想增加定制柜，不是不能做，只是整个施工安排、保护和收尾，都要更仔细。

做柜子不只是“装上去”就结束，施工过程怎样处理，最后出来的效果一样重要。

This house is a little different because the owner is already staying inside while we continue with the cabinet installation.

For an occupied home, the installation method cannot be the same as an empty unit. Cutting and dusty work are done outside as much as possible, while indoor areas are properly protected before installation and adjustment.

That is why the work is split into different zones — some cutting is done at the car porch, some work is carried out indoors, and certain cabinet parts are prepared separately before installation.

Adding custom cabinets after moving in is definitely possible, but the protection, planning and finishing work need to be more carefully arranged.

Good cabinetry is not only about the final look. The way the work is carried out on site matters too.

Casa Sutra｜屋主已经入住，我们才来安装 Wet Kitchen 😅

这间 Casa Sutra 比较特别，
屋主已经正式住进来了，我们才进场安装 Wet Kitchen。

这种情况和空屋施工真的不一样。
地面、台面、家具都要先做好保护，钻墙、打孔的时候也要尽量控制灰尘，避免影响屋主日常生活。

现场先完成 marking，再一步一步安装。
虽然这样做会比较花时间，但既然客户已经住进来了，我们就尽量把施工带来的灰尘和影响减到最低。

装修不是只看最后成品，
施工过程怎么处理，其实一样重要。👌

接下来 Wet Kitchen 完成后，再带大家来看成品。

This project is a little different because the owner is already staying in the house while we carry out the wet kitchen installation.

That means we need to be extra careful with floor protection, existing surfaces and dust control during drilling and installation.

It takes a little more time, but when a home is already occupied, keeping the work area clean and minimising disruption is just as important as the final result.

🏡 Casa Sutra, Setia Alam｜一年后，我们又回来了

这个项目比较特别。

一年前，屋主找我们完成了家里大部分的全屋定制柜体，唯独 Wet Kitchen 当时还没有做，因为后方空间还没进行 extension。

一年后，extension 完成了，屋主再次找回我们，这次就是把新的 Wet Kitchen 做起来。

空间 extend 之后真的差很多，厨房明显大了，也有更多位置可以重新规划动线和储物。

而且这个家的 landscape 真的很吸引我 🌿
很多花草植物都是屋主自己打理，站在厨房望出去，整个 view 都很舒服。

接下来我们就看看，这个新的 Wet Kitchen 最后会做到什么样子 👀

About a year ago, we completed most of the custom cabinetry for this home, except for the wet kitchen because the rear extension had not been done yet.

Now that the extension is completed, the homeowner came back to us again — this time to complete the new wet kitchen.

With the additional space, the whole kitchen layout feels completely different, with much more room for storage, workflow and planning.

And one thing we really like about this home is the garden view 🌿
A lot of the landscaping was personally taken care of by the homeowner, making the kitchen surroundings feel very open and relaxing.

下单之前，建议先把这些成本和风险一起算进去。

现在越来越多屋主会考虑从中国订全屋定制。

款式多、设计漂亮，而且单看柜子的报价，确实很有吸引力。

但全屋定制并不是买一件家具回来摆好就结束。

从 量尺、设计、生产、运输、清关、搬运、安装，到后期补件和售后，任何一个环节出现问题，最后都会影响你家的完成时间和实际成本。

例如：

尺寸来到现场才发现不合
少了一片门板或五金
运输途中出现损坏
颜色与样板有差异
安装后需要重新调整
甚至付款后迟迟收不到货

这些情况一旦发生在跨境订单，沟通、补件和运输所需要的时间，往往都会比想象中复杂。

当然，我们并不是说 本地定制就 100% 不会出问题。

任何装修工程都有可能遇到问题。

最大的分别是，如果选择的是一家正规的本地公司，至少你知道：

公司在哪里
Showroom 在哪里
负责人是谁
谁负责安装
出了问题要找谁跟进

如果真的发生纠纷，也有比较明确的本地正规途径可以处理。

所以我们一直认为，选择全屋定制时，不应该只问：

“哪里的柜子比较便宜？”

更应该问：

“从量尺到安装完成，出了问题，谁会负责到底？”

因为全屋定制不是一次性的购买，而是未来很多年每天都会使用的东西。

价格当然重要，
但设计、材料、安装、售后和保障，也应该一起比较。

Is whole-house custom cabinetry from China really much cheaper?
Before placing an order, it’s worth looking beyond the cabinet price alone.

Custom cabinetry involves much more than manufacturing.

Site measurement, design, production, shipping, customs clearance, delivery, installation, replacement parts and after-sales service all affect the final cost and experience.

Cross-border ordering can certainly offer attractive designs and pricing, but when something goes wrong — wrong dimensions, missing parts, damaged panels or delayed delivery — resolving it may take more time and coordination.

Local customization isn’t risk-free either.

The difference is that with an established local company, you normally know who is responsible, where the showroom is, who handles the installation and who to contact if something needs to be rectified.

So when comparing your options, don’t only ask:

“Which one is cheaper?”

Ask:

“From measurement until final installation, who is responsible for seeing the job through?”

That difference matters when the cabinetry is something you’ll be using every day for many years.

这次继续看一个很容易被忽略，但其实很影响整体效果的细节——收口。

有些位置我们会用海棠角，线条会比较俐落；
但像客厅这种经常有人走动的位置，我们反而会选择做圆弧收口。

不是每一个角都用同一种做法。
位置不同、动线不同，处理方式也应该不一样。

很多时候，一套柜子最后看起来顺不顺眼，不只是颜色和设计，
这些小小的收口、转角、比例，才是真正拉开差距的地方。

这也是为什么我们做全屋定制，不只是把柜子“装上去”，
而是会根据每一个空间，去调整最适合的做法。

这一集继续看完工前的现场实拍。

餐边柜这边其实很明显，灯光一开，整个层次真的差很多。
同一套柜，没开灯的时候会比较平；灯一亮起来，材质、线条和层次都会更突出。

这里也做了 Hidden Door 隐形门，平时关起来看过去就是一整面墙，打开后才发现后面还有空间。

有时候柜子做得好不好看，不只是看颜色。
灯光、门缝、收口、比例，这些小地方加在一起，才是最后整体出来的感觉。
